This shift is being fueled by substantial investments in advanced technology, including artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), big data, and robotics.

In anticipation of this transformation, Saudi Arabia’s hotel and hospitality sector is making substantial investments in technology, aiming to elevate guest experiences, operational efficiency, and revenue optimization. Industry leaders are sharing insights ahead of the forthcoming Hotel & Hospitality Expo, accompanied by the three-day Hospitality Leaders’ Summit, set to commence next month in Riyadh.

Scheduled to take place at the Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Centre from September 10 to 12, these events are co-located with Index Saudi Arabia and the Lighting Design & Technology Expo. They provide a platform for manufacturers and suppliers in the hospitality industry to connect with buyers in Saudi Arabia while showcasing the latest technological advancements making waves in the country’s hotel sector.

Nadeem Zaman, Chief Strategy and Transformation Advisor for the Minister of Investment in Saudi Arabia, emphasized that the country’s push to boost tourism will lead to a surge in the adoption of cutting-edge technologies. As the industry seeks differentiation, the fourth industrial revolution, especially AI and IoT, is poised to create an impact. Zaman expects to witness elevated guest experiences driven by personalized services, streamlined operations, and energy-efficient solutions.

This year’s Hospitality Leaders’ Summit will gather industry experts to discuss how the hotel sector in Saudi Arabia will leverage big data, AI, and IoT to enhance revenue and energy efficiency. Manit Narang, Vice President of Hospitality for India, Middle East, Africa & Turkey at Assa Abloy Global Solutions, a prominent exhibitor at the upcoming event, emphasized that AI and IoT technologies are game-changers, empowering hotels to meet guest expectations for swift, convenient, and personalized services.
