HeavyFinance wants to revolutionize agriculture financing because agricultural goods account for nearly a third of global greenhouse gas emissions. A climate technology firm called HeavyFinance just secured €3 million in seed funding with the goal of reducing CO2 emissions by one gigaton through agriculture financing.
The money will be used by the agricultural investment market to fuel a significant expansion that will speed up the availability of sustainable financing choices. In Poland, Portugal, Lithuania, Latvia, and Bulgaria, it offers finance and credit programs to businesses engaged in sustainable agriculture.
To far, it has facilitated financing for more than 1,000 agricultural initiatives.
