When it comes to buying gifts for some executives, Marc Benioff goes all out. Last week, an insider reported that the CEO of Salesforce had given some watches worth five figures and cars worth well over six figures.
According to insiders at the company, Salesforce lavishly bought an Aston Martin for Sarah Franklin, its chief marketing officer, and an electric BMW for Alex Dayon, the chairman of its advisory board. Parker Harris, the business’s cofounder, also received a car from the company in 2017, according to regulatory documents.
Keith Block, the former co-CEO, received a $86,423 watch and a $211,703 car in 2019. Salesforce’s habit of extravagant spending dates back at least to 2015, when it spent $40,564 on a watch for Block, who was at the time Salesforce’s CEO.
