The mega metropolis of NEOM in Saudi Arabia is developing a football team. Chiefs have officially announced The NEOM Football Club in the hopes that a match versus Barcelona will draw spectators to The LINE.
There will be multiple football stadiums in the 170km vertical city. Executive director Giles Pendleton said this in reference to The LINE: “We’re not developing this all at once, but it will be rolled out between now and 2045. Thus, you don’t construct every stadium at once.
They are created to accommodate the needs of the intended audience. “If you’re on the 50th floor and you want to travel two kilometers to the stadium to watch the NEOM Football Club play Barcelona,” he added, adding that there are plans for an actual NEOM club.
