Dornbracht is well established and leading in the field of architectural bathroom fittings across the Middle-East with landmark projects in the region. “We are a niche product, expensive luxury products you will not find us everywhere but in the places where it matters”, added Jaideep.
How did the pandemic affect your business?
Construction is the foundation of most of the economy in the Middle-East based on Oil revenues and Entrepreneurship Hub and when you have something like the Pandemic, it is bound to affect the construction industry, supply-chain. The UAE has dealt with the pandemic better than any other country. The economic recovery in the UAE is going to be faster than most of the countries and we can already see there is a revival that’s moving towards the pre-covid levels. As far as we are concerned, our business has actually grown said Jaideep.
What kind of changes did you bring during Pandemic?
In our business travel is an absolute necessity because of the lockdown and various restrictions in other countries which had a severe impact but we experienced that virtual interaction is quite effective. You don’t need to travel quite often but we also learned that a lot of times face-to-face meetings are necessary. We didn’t face business difficulties but the means of doing business have changed over the past 18 months, added Jaideep.
How will Expo 2020 Dubai add to the UAE economy?
Expo is going to add a significant benefit for the UAE as a hub of Business, Art, Technology and Future Innovation activity. People will look at the UAE as a success story and visit the EXPO 2020 Dubai. Expo is all about new construction projects which were announced before the EXPO 2020 like the Mamzar WaterFront. Everyone will look at Expo 2020 Dubai as a paradigm shift which will enhance the UAE growth story significantly, added Jaideep.
