This week, we got an opportunity to discuss with Mr. Bryan Mackenzie who has extensive experience in selling sophisticated IT solutions to meet complex business and public sector problems. Mr. Bryan has managed the sales process, sales teams, implementation teams, and the whole sales and implementation business and is currently the Managing Director at Quintica, Dubai.
How did your industry perform during the pandemic?
Our business is in the realm of helping companies with digital transformation of their business processes. We were fortunate to be in a business which has been in demand during the pandemic period. As so many organizations struggled to get customers during the pandemic, our business has actually grown, said Mr. Bryan. Our clients wanted to embrace the digital world and connect to their employees and customers in a more controlled and structured way, added Mr. Bryan.
Did you find companies adopting cloud strategy?
We were the early adopters to cloud strategy in the region. There are 3 principal changes companies need to consider for successful cloud adoption:
#1: Technology Implementation
#2: Business Process Changes
#3: New Delivery Methodology & Skills
Previously for any project implementation, companies needed to consider a lot of hardware and technical setup, cloud deployment has minimized dependency on physical and backend hardware setup said Mr. Bryan. With cloud implementation, you don’t need to worry about service delivery, backups and upgrades added Mr. Bryan.
How do service downtime and data corruption affect your customers & industry?
There is a set of operational methodology that’s shared with our customers like GDPR and ISO 27000 Standard. Enterprise systems offer service level agreements with a commitment and remediation, said Mr. Bryan. Security is not only about access to data or data corruption, it’s also about failure of service delivery which is addressed by cloud service providers, added Mr. Bryan.
